What's New At Hour 25
April 17, 2011

Hour 25 continues on line at Warren's web site
www.hour25online.com
with new shows so stop by and take a listen.

The only other news is the archives are very slowly being converted to digital
so you'll be seeing a few clips added to this site over time. Don't get your
hopes up, I'm slow with this, as anyone who knows me can tell you. :)
September 22, 2000

It's official, Hour 25 has left KPFK and is now exclusively on the web. The
manager took Hour 25 off the air while negotiations were going on, however, no
mention of this was made on the air so fans tuning in just heard music and no
explanation of why Hour 25 wasn't on. When the dust finally settled and the
show left KPFK due to "irreconcilable differences" there was still
no mention on the air of what had happened.

Don't worry though, Hour 25 is alive and well broadcasting on the InterNet.
You can
hear the latest show by going to the official web site
and while you're there
check up on any shows you've missed.
Hey, look at the bright side, NO MORE FUND DRIVES! :)
Winter 2000 Fund Drive

The winter fund drive went quite well for Hour 25. Warren and Suzanne want to
thank all the people who subscribed and those people who came in to answer
phones during the fund raising broadcast.
Fall 1999 Fund Drive

The fall fund drive went very well at Hour 25 and Wareen and Suzanne wish to
thank all of you who made pledges as well as those who came in and answered
phone.
Terry Hodel Has Died

Terry Hodel died on Wednesday, March 17, 1999. She was 61. I've made
a memorial page
where you can read a little more and hear one of The Calendars that she did.
No Change In The Show's Time Slot

As mentioned elsewhere in these pages, the news about Hour 25 has not changed
-- the show is still cut to one hour. I don't know if the station will change
its mind and restore Hour 25 to its former full two hours or not. If you'd
like to write letters requesting the show be given its second hour back, you
can contact the station by writing to

25th Anniversary Show

Back in January of 1997 Hour 25 finished a quarter century of
broadcasts. To celebrate this event Warren put together a special show. For
that program he brought together almost all the former hosts of Hour 25 to
talk about how things were in "The Old Days." Because I've been taping and
archiving the show since 1974, I was invited to tell people how the archives
got started. I spoke to Warren, in the studio, from the control room for a few
minutes and told my story of the archives.

I took my trusty Nikon F2 camera and got some pictures. They came out pretty
well considering I haven't taken pictures more than once in the last decade.
I'm not sure if I've labelled the group pictures accurately so any corrections
are welcome and appreciated. Now here are some of the pictures I took at the
25th anniversary broadcast in January 1997.
